Essential Criteria

In addition to strong demonstrable experience in the areas mentioned in the overview, in a relevant sector, the appointed job role holder must have;

CIPD level 5 qualification or above (studying towards may be considered)
Considerable HR employment experience
Strong communicator, confident to handle all situations
Well presented with a professional manner
Strong IT and System Capabilities – Excel, HRIS, Mail merge, Visio, Word/Forms
Good attention to detail
Driver with own car, flexible to travel to other sites

Candidates will ideally have experience in one or more areas below:

Experience gained in Transport/Warehouse/Manufacturing Environment
Experience of HRIS Implementation
Experience of writing HR GDPR/Data Protection Policies
Experience of developing HR SAR Procedures
Experience of developing HR Website & Social Media Presence
Experience of Employee Communications & Engagement & Diversity & Inclusion
Experience of developing & implementing apprentice schemes
Experience of running a payroll
Be analytical and data driven

Overview:

Role Purpose

The purpose of the role is to provide HR support to designated areas of the Kammac Operations to support the delivery of business goals and to deliver agreed HR projects.

Key Objectives

• To act as HR Advisor providing effective advice and support in a timely and proactive manner
• To support the Group HR Manager to deliver a comprehensive HR service ensuring a flexible, corporate and holistic approach which supports the delivery of business goals

Employment Relations
• To advise managers in all aspects of employment relations including, GDPR, bullying, harassment, conduct, performance management, grievance, sickness absence in line with the employment policies, employment law and good practice
• To support the Group HR Manager in the development and revision of employment policies
• To provide staff with information on their terms and conditions of service
• To ensure/oversee contractual changes to individual staff records are processed effectively and efficiently within agreed timescales, liaising with managers, and payroll staff as appropriate and ensuring GDPR compliance is maintained at all times

Recruitment
• To work with and support local Managers to ensure the provision of a responsive, high quality recruitment service to ensure that they are able to fill vacancies in an efficient manner

Analysis
• To maintain employee records and to provide the Group HR Manager and local Managers with accurate and relevant workforce information
• To work with the Group HR Manager to develop and produce monthly, quarterly and other reports on HR activity (sickness, vacancy levels, turnover etc)
• To support the Group HR Manager, as required in evaluating job roles and activities consistently appointed in line with wider business practice and structures

Training
• To work with the Group HR Manager to devise training programmes for managers that enhance people and professional management, and to deliver these training sessions as required
• To work with managers in the identification of training needs, particularly in relation to developing people management skills, and to deliver training courses and briefing sessions including: recruitment and selection, performance management, capability, bullying and harassment, sickness absence

Project Work
• To manage your workload proactively developing and implementing HR Project Plans as agreed with the Group HR Manager
• To create and implement efficient HR Workflow and Processes that integrate seamlessly across other business functions

Personal & Professional
• To keep up to date with HR changes and employment law, to be responsible for ensuring professional standards of personnel practice are maintained and developed, and keep an up to date portfolio demonstrating continual professional development

General
• To ensure confidentiality at all times
• To positively promote at all times equality of opportunity in service delivery and employment for staff in accordance with company policies
• To be responsible for producing and managing all HR related documentation ensuring effective and supportive correspondence is produced and managed for all HR matters
• To create and maintain the HR reporting tools, ensuring effective information is documented and timely and appropriate case management.
