Overview:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor with a track record of developing HR processes and line manager capability through coaching. You must be qualified to CIPD level 5 or above, ideally educated to Degree Level and have experience of working in a data driven HR environment. This HR role will encompass HR advice and transactional processes as well as the opportunity to contribute and/or lead Group HR Projects depending on experience.

Key Objectives:
To act as HR Adviser providing effective advice and support in a timely and proactive manner
To support the Group HR Manager to deliver a comprehensive HR service ensuring a flexible, corporate and holistic approach which supports the delivery of business goals

Employment Relations
To advise managers in all aspects of employment relations including, GDPR, bullying, harassment, conduct, performance management, grievance, sickness absence in line with the employment policies, employment law and good practice
To support the Group HR Manager in the development and revision of employment policies
To provide staff with information on their terms and conditions of service
To ensure/oversee that changes to individual staff records are processed efficiently within agreed timescales, liaising with managers, and payroll staff as appropriate and ensuring GDPR compliance is maintained at all times

Recruitment
To work with and support local Managers to ensure the provision of a responsive, high quality recruitment service to ensure that they are able to fill vacancies in an efficient manner

Analysis
To maintenance employee records and to provide the Group HR Manager and local Managers with accurate and relevant workforce information
To work with the Group HR Manager to develop and produce monthly, quarterly and other reports on HR activity (sickness, vacancy levels, turnover etc)
To support the Group HR Manager, as required in evaluating job roles and activities consistently appointed in line with wider business practice and structures

Training
To work with the Group HR Manager to devise training programmes for managers that enhance people and professional management, and to deliver these training sessions as required
To work with managers in the identification of training needs, particularly in relation to developing people management skills, and to deliver training courses and briefing sessions including: recruitment and selection, performance management, capability, bullying and harassment, sickness absence

Project Work
To manage your workload proactively developing and implementing HR Project Plans as agreed with the Group HR Manager
To create and implement efficient HR Workflow and Processes that integrate seamlessly across other business functions

Personal & Professional
To be responsible for ensuring professional standards of personnel practice are maintained and developed, and keep an up to date portfolio demonstrating continual professional development

General
To ensure confidentiality at all times
To positively promote at all times equality of opportunity in service delivery and employment for staff in accordance with company policies
To be responsible for producing and managing all HR related documentation ensuring effective and supportive correspondence is produced and managed for all HR matters
To create and maintain the HR reporting tools, ensuring effective information is documented and timely and appropriate case management.

Essential Criteria

In addition to strong demonstrable experience in the above areas, the appointed job role holder should have;

CIPD level 5 qualification or above (studying towards may be considered)
Considerable HR employment experience essential
Strong communicator, confident to handle all situations
Well presented with a professional manner
Advanced IT Capabilities – Excel, HRIS, Mail merge, Visio, Word/Forms
Highly analytical and data driven
Driver with own car, flexible to travel to other sites
Experience gained in Transport/Warehouse/Manufacturing Environment

Desirable Criteria

Experience of HRIS Implementation
Experience of writing HR GDPR/Data Protection Policies
Experience of developing HR SAR Procedures
Experience of developing HR Website & Social Media Presence
Experience of Employee Communications & Engagement & Diversity & Inclusion
Experience of developing & implementing apprentice schemes
Experience of running a payroll
