Essential Criteria
Considerable demonstrable experience in a similar role in a relevant environment

· CIPD level 5 qualification or above (studying towards may be considered)
· Strong communicator, confident to handle all situations
· Well presented with a professional manner
Drive with own car, flexible to travel to other sites
Desirable – Advance IT capability – Excel, HRIS, Mail merge, Visio, Word, Analytical

Welcome to Kammac!! Kammac Limited is a dynamic warehousing and logistics company, who are growing rapidly! We now wish to recruit an experienced HR Advisor to work at our client’s site in Burton-upon-Trent. There is a requirement to travel to Head Office and to provide cover for other sites within our Group as our growing team of Managers & HR Advisors need back up, cover and support.

Candidates must have experience of developing HR Processes and Line Manager capability through coaching. Must be CIPD level 5 or studying towards, ideally educated to Degree Level. Must be experienced in supporting the resolution of operational HR issues in a complex organisation, providing highly specialist expert advice together with the ability to build and develop constructive and effective partnerships. This HR role will encompass HR Advice, Transactional Processes as well as the opportunity to contribute and/or lead Group HR Projects depending on experience.

Key Objectives:

· To act as the HR Adviser for designated business areas, providing effective advice and support in a timely and proactive manner to managers
· To promote a positive, proactive approach to HR Management, acting as an advocate for an open, fair and transparent employment relations environment, working in partnership with staff and managers to achieve this
· To interpret employment policies and to work with managers, coaching them on how to apply these to ensure they act in accordance with the agreed polices
· To support the Group HR Manager to deliver a comprehensive service ensuring a flexible, corporate and holistic approach to the delivery of the business goals, and to seek continuous improvement

Employment Relations
· To advise managers in all aspects of employment relations including, GDPR, bullying and harassment, conduct, performance management, grievance and sickness absence in line with the employment policies, employment law and good practice
· To have personal responsibility for working with managers to manage and reduce sickness absence and contribute to greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness
· To advise managers chairing formal hearings under the employment procedures ensuring that the appropriate procedure is adhered to, and that employees have a full, fair and impartial hearing.
· To provide advice and guidance to managers on appropriate action to take under such procedures taking account of all the circumstances, and ensuring consistency of approach across the business
· To assist managers in preparing management statements of case for internal appeal hearings
· To support Line Managers in preparing responses to employment tribunal claims and preparing for hearings
· To support the Group HR Manager in the development and revision of employment policies to ensure appropriate policies and procedures that reflect current employment law and good practice
· To provide staff with information on their terms and conditions of service and issues affecting their welfare such as ill health retirement, adoption leave, maternity leave, paternity leave, sickness entitlements, salary details, annual leave and flexible working options
· To ensure/oversee that changes to individual staff records are processed efficiently within agreed timescales, liaising with managers, and payroll staff as appropriate and ensuring GDPR compliance is maintained at all times

· To work with and support local Managers to ensure the provision of a responsive, high quality recruitment service
· To support Site Management Teams in resolving complex recruitment issues
· To seek ways of continuously improving the service
· To work with Line Managers to provide professional recruitment advice to ensure that they are able to fill vacancies in an efficient manner

· To assist, in conjunction with the wider HR Team, with the maintenance of the Electronic Staff Record and to provide the Group HR Manager and local Managers with accurate and relevant workforce information
· To work with the Group HR Manager to develop and produce monthly, quarterly and other reports on HR activity (sickness, vacancy levels, turnover etc.) for presentation at Board meetings
· To support the Group HR Manager, as required in evaluating job roles and activities consistently appointed in line with wider business practice and structures

Personal & Professional
· To be responsible for ensuring professional standards of personnel practice are maintained and developed, and keep an up to date portfolio demonstrating continual professional development

· To work with the Group HR Manager to devise training programmes for managers that enhance people and professional management, and to deliver these training sessions as required
· To work with managers in the identification of training needs, particularly in relation to developing people management skills, and to deliver training courses and briefing sessions including: recruitment and selection, performance management, capability, bullying and harassment, sickness absence

· To be responsible for producing and managing all HR related documentation ensuring effective and supportive correspondence is produced and managed for all HR matters
· To create and maintain the HR reporting tools, ensuring effective information is documented and timely and appropriate case management.

Project Work
To manage your workload proactively develop and implementing HR Project Plans as agreed with the Group HR Manager
To create and implement efficient HR Workflow and Processes that integrate seamlessly across other business functions
