Hours:

Monday to Friday (flexibility required)
09:00-17:00 (flexibility required)
37.5 hours per week

· Recent experience in a similar role

Overview:

Job purpose:

To take the lead with overhead cost purchases, and supplier renewals. To ensure all administrative tasks are completed for the department to function, including commercially challenging internally raised purchase requisitions and raising purchase orders. To provide value added information to the Directors.

Key roles and responsibilities:

· Pro-actively look at gaining the best value with overhead cost purchases and supplier contract renewals, negotiating directly with suppliers
· Create, manage and achieve the overall logistics and purchasing department budgets and improvement plans
· Purchase order processing
· Supporting the Purchasing Department with all admin requirements
· Using Excel daily to update reports for Purchasing
· Build relationships with other departments within the company to ensure the efficient flow of data and information, in order to complete own tasks
· Establish preferred supplier database
· Regular communication with all suppliers/customers
· Constantly assessing processes within the department and suggesting improvements
· Management responsibility for office (non-stock) purchases
· Collating management information
· Contributing to the company wide continuous improvement culture
