Contract Type: Permanent
Contracted Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Any 5/7 but typically Monday to Friday

Skills:

Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
Be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in a busy and demanding environment.
Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.
Be computer literate and have a good understanding of MS office applications.
Be able to work well as part of a team in a busy office environment.
Be able to work to tight deadlines and manage their own time effectively.
Knowledge of warehousing or transport software systems would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.

Overview:

Job Purpose/Summary
Supporting the Transport Planning Supervisors, the successful candidate will contribute to the success of the transport operation by being an important member of the team. This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to have a significant influence on the day to day running of a busy office and the overall service levels provided to our customer.

Working on site in demanding operation, this position will challenge the successful applicant to the full and to be their best.

Key Responsibilities:
Booking-in of customer deliveries.
Working closely with the planning team and Transport Planning Supervisors to ensure that deliveries can be planned cost effectively whilst maintaining high service levels.
Update and maintain multiple KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reports on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and availability of information.
Liaise with the main administrative department to ensure that good communication lines are maintained at all times and that queries are dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Day to Day support for the planning team particularly during peak periods including receipt of delivery information and processing of this data onto the in-house systems.
