The Role:

As a Transport Supervisor for the General Haulage department, you will report directly to the Transport Manager. The position is focused towards driver procedure ensuring customers’ expectations are met from origin to destination and drivers are compliant and working with the remit of the Transport Management System. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join a busy and growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Management of drivers, driver hand helds and accurate data feed into TMS.

· Experience or awareness of planning general haulage.

· Achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

· Monitor and regulate drivers hours to comply with legislation and track and keep within company expectation.

· Regular communications with other departments on load / Vehicle management.

· Ensuring all necessary documentation is supplied and accurate to ensure a smooth movement of goods, with a focus on TMS and compliance and customer service.

· Communicate effectively and confidently with customers.

· Completion of daily reports required on a daily/weekly basis.

· Implementing planned daily workload for a large fleet of vehicles based across multiple locations.

· Liaising with the wider transport team to ensure the highest standards of performance are maintained at all times.

· Reporting problems and dealing with any issues/queries that may arise

· Promote good practice

· Report any Safety concerns
