In the summer of 2022, the supermarket faced a significant challenge concerning an excess of stock, particularly garden furniture with awkward shapes that presented storage difficult.
With an initial estimate of around 10,000 pallets requiring approximately 100,000 square feet of storage space, the company encountered an overflow dilemma within its network. The unique shapes of the garden furniture items further complicated the storage situation, posing a complex logistical challenge.

Swiftly responding to the situation, we allocated 10,000 pallets to our adaptable Titan facility, showcasing our flexible supply chain management approach. To address the complexities posed by the furniture shapes, we ingeniously optimized stacking and storage configurations within the Titan facility. Through meticulous planning, we efficiently managed intake, record-keeping, and stacking processes, and augmented our workforce to meet the escalating project demands.
As the stock volume escalated to 90,000 pallets, we promptly reevaluated our network and executed agile measures to generate additional storage space, including renting extra space to align with the supermarket’s evolving needs. In support of the expanding project, we established a dedicated project team to streamline operations and ensure seamless coordination.
Our strategic allocation, inventive storage solutions, increased workforce, and collaborative project management showcased our commitment to efficient supply chain management, offering dynamic solutions for their evolving requirements.
