Kammac are working with a sustainable palm oil supplier, providing them with storage solutions at our BRC AA Grade site in the North West
Kammac started on a transformative project to convert the warehousing space into compliant storage tailored specifically for cooking oil products. In line with Kammac’s regular agility the project was successfully completed in just 8 weeks.
Project Undertaken
Our client had an ambitious target date set in order to begin their storage and distribution operations from our Kammac Knowsley Jupiter 143 site. Rising to the challenge, with only 8 weeks to prepare for the stock’s arrival, Kammac quickly assembled an expert team to transform the site, expanding our service solutions to double our overall temperature controlled space.

Kammac is passionate about investing into successful partnerships and long-term relationships with our clients. This is why we were delighted to agree to a three-year deal and invest in creating a suitable space for storing palm oil products.
The Challenge
Kammac Knowsley Jupiter 143 is a great distribution hub, located close to Liverpool and within 10 miles of the Port of Liverpool. As a BRC Grade AA site it was already suitable for sorage of human consumables. In order to store vegetable oil products, the site needed to be transformed from a blank canvas into a temperature controlled chamber, to ensure goods are kept between 14 and 18 degrees.
The Solution
Infrastructure
Kammac installed a floor-to-ceiling flexi wall partition on site, made of heavy duty, reinforced fire rated material.
Six air conditioning units work to maintain a consistent temperature of 14 to 18 degrees within the area of the warehouse used to store the palm oil.
Technology
Kammac implemented a monitoring system to have 24/7 visibility of the chamber's temperature. To prevent any temperature variations, alarms and alerts have been configured to notify the designated individual immediately, allowing them to intervene and maintain the quality of goods.
