Our journey began with a single truck and has since evolved into a formidable fleet comprising over 120 trucks and 240 trailers. In partnership with a pallet network spanning across the North West, we’ve established a solid logistics presence. However, our commitment to delivering efficient and eco-friendly transport solutions has recently taken a momentous stride, particularly in the West Midlands region.
In 2022, a significant milestone was celebrated as our Transport department played a pivotal role in the success of our overall services. The West Midlands became a focal point for our operations, notably in glass-handling. Last year, we achieved an impressive feat of completing 1312 total glass loads, covering a remarkable 108,896 miles. This accomplishment not only highlights our expertise but also showcases our dedication to meeting the unique demands of our clients. We are delighted to announce that the numbers for 2023 have already surged. Data from 2023 reveals that we have successfully completed 2679 total glass loads, encompassing an impressive 222,357 miles, effectively more than doubling our glass-handling transport solutions within the last year.
One of our recent strategic moves involved offering adjusted costs for off-peak transport services. This decision has proved to be a game-changer for our clients, providing cost-effectiveness, agility, and flexibility. This service is now available in key areas, including the West Midlands, North West, Northampton, and Burton-on-Trent. Our fleet includes 18-tonne trucks, equipped with tail lifts and curtain siders, ensuring we meet the diverse requirements of our clients, even during off-peak hours.
However, our commitment to transport solutions doesn’t stop there. In our Burton Transport hub, a significant environmental change has taken place with the installation of a Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel tank. This move allows us to provide a sustainable alternative to diesel, contributing to a remarkable 95% reduction in carbon emissions. What’s most impressive is that we’ve accelerated our plans to roll out the HVO fuel option to clients, well ahead of the original 2025 schedule. This reflects the passion and dedication of the entire Kammac team to reduce our environmental footprint and make a substantial difference.
