TH&TH’s Journey of Onboarding at Kammac

Kammac have secured a new contract with one of the leading bridesmaids brands in the UK, fast-forward to now, TH&TH have been onboarding into our Kammac Burton 101 site with the assistance of our onboarding and project teams.

We are proud to be a part of TH&TH’s trusted supply chain, managing their ecommerce operations from our fulfilment centre in Burton-on-Trent. This partnership will continue to fuel TH&TH’s growth in the UK and internationally.

Project Initiation

After an initial introduction, our project team met with TH&TH on 13th May to kick off their onboarding journey. This initial meeting was crucial as it laid the foundation for the entire project.

Using our project management tools we drafted a comprehensive project plan that would guide us through each phase and reflect the latest developments and changes. We also finalised the operational schedule, ensuring it aligned with both TH&TH’s requirements and our operational capabilities.

During this meeting, we set the go-live date for 18th June, providing a clear timeline for all involved. To further tailor our approach, our team visited TH&TH’s current fulfilment centre on 4th June. This visit provided valuable insights into their existing processes and operational needs, allowing us to design a solution that was perfectly suited to their business.

Project Realisation

With a detailed understanding of TH&TH’s operations and a complete project plan in place, we moved into the realisation phase.

We designed a tailored solution specifically for TH&TH at our Kammac Burton site. This involved the careful installation and testing of all necessary equipment, as well as setting up our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to meet their unique requirements.

The first inbound of TH&TH’s stock on 13th and 14th June was a critical step. Both Kammac’s project team and the TH&TH team were on-site to oversee the process, ensuring everything went smoothly. During this time, we provided additional training for our site staff to prepare them for TH&TH’s specific needs.

As the go-live date approached, we worked closely with TH&TH to finalise preparations. This included comprehensive training on the client portal and addressing any last-minute details. Our collaborative efforts paid off, and we launched on 18th June, with the first orders successfully shipped.

Project Live

After a successful launch, our focus then shifted to ensuring stable and efficient operations during the critical initial weeks. Following the go-live date, our project team remained on-site for the rest of the week to provide immediate post-launch support.

This included finding solutions for non-standard and unexpected requirements that weren’t pre-agreed, such as handling pre-orders and the management of stock directly fulfilled by TH&TH from their office. Our team responded swiftly to these challenges, finding solutions and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Starting the week of 24th June, we continued to support the site team and the client online, entering what we call the hyper-care phase. This phase is designed to provide intense, hands-on support to address any minor issues quickly and keep operations running smoothly.

Post Live

With the successful completion of the hyper-care phase, TH&TH’s operations transitioned into business-as-usual (BAU) mode starting the week of 1st July. Our site team took over the daily monitoring of operations, ensuring that all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) were adhered to and closely watching the On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) metrics to maintain our high-performance standards.

Regular Joint Management Review (JMR) calls were scheduled with TH&TH to discuss performance and address any areas requiring attention. These meetings provide an excellent opportunity to explore Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities and work on forecasting to better align with their future needs.

As TH&TH settle into BAU operations, our focus remains on delivering ongoing improvements and supporting their growth.

The TH&TH onboarding journey represents our commitment to delivering seamless transitions and exceptional service. Through meticulous planning, effective execution, and dedicated support, we ensured TH&TH’s successful integration into our Kammac Burton site.

“We can’t recommend Kammac enough! From day one, their team has guided us through the entire process, making it simple and streamlined. Transitioning to fulfilment after managing our own warehouse for years was daunting, but Kammac made it effortless.

Andrea Gonakova designed an incredibly detailed floor plan for us and patiently walked us through all the software and processes with utmost professionalism. Nick O’Connor and his team seamlessly working on the tech side to ensure going live went as smoothly as possible (and it did!). The warehouse team, led by Beth, was invaluable during our big move.

If you’re considering a switch to fulfilment, look no further than Kammac. Thank you, Kitty, Louie, and Ping from @thandth.com.”
