With the UK experiencing one of its driest Springs on record, we have met the almost unquenchable demand for beverages, with records shipments across our customer base.
As a supplier to leading UK brewers, delivering bottles and kegs across the supply chain, our logistics teams managed a dramatic uplift in stock intake, moving millions of bottles and kegs in March and early April. One major client ramped up deliveries, moving a total of 1.3 million litres of kegged beverages into our depot network over a four-week period. Over the same time, the company sent some 3.4 million bottles back into the brewery, significantly up from the 2.1 million delivered in the month beforehand.
We have become a go-to partner for companies that require safe and efficient handling of their glass products and planning for periods such as this is essential. In anticipation of the seasonal demand for drinks, we worked with our partners to receive over 18,000 pallets of stock during February and March. These early efforts ensured that when the calls came, we could scale quickly and safely to ensure that the supply chain – and drinks – were kept flowing.
